The Mystery Machine – well, a Mystery Machine, anyway – is being sold by Ray’s Classics in San Carlos, California. It’s a ’69 Dodge cargo van for sale with the iconic paint job of the Mystery Machine from the cartoon series Scooby-Doo! The van has been seen tooling around the San Francisco area for years, often gracing comic book and science fiction conventions. The van is now being sold for the bargain basement price of $3,200. Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat has announced, and the BBC has confirmed, that actress Jenna-Louise Coleman has landed the role of the Time Lord’s new companion in Doctor Who, replacing Karen Gillan’s character Amy Pond when she leaves the show in the upcoming production season. Coleman, 25, has also appeared in Waterloo Road and Julian Fellowes’ four part mini-series Titanic.
