Tim Griffin is a high school teacher by day, but has a secret identity as a popular filker who focuses on educational themes. His new song, Pico, Nano, Micro, Milli, is lyrical journey through the powers of 10, shrinking the beat from milliseconds down to the sub-atomic level.

A nephew of science fiction grand master Larry Niven, Tim Griffin is an American singer/songwriter, former Los Angeles teacher, and the founder of the educational nonprofit GriffinEd. He blends music with K-8 education to teach STEM subjects.

He has won multiple awards for his work, including Pegasus Awards for Best Songwriter/Composer and Best Filk Song (for “Lucy on the Line”).
