Join hosts Gene Turnbow and Susan Fox when we welcome the return of Emmy winning screenwriter Marc Guggenheim. This week, we’ll be discussing the new limited run comic book series Leviathan Freedom. The five issue science fiction epic is being created in partnership with rock legend Tom Morello, and is based on the adventures of American icon Robert Smalls.
Guggenheim is the co-creator and showrunner of Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Dreamworks’ Trollhunters series to name but a few. He also wrote the screenplays for the 2011 film Green Lantern and the 2013 film Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters, has a long history writing comicbooks for both Marvel and DC Comics, and has written several novels as well.
Leviathan Freedom is very much a collaborative project with Morello, who is a massive fan of the science fiction genre and an avid RPG gamer.
Leviathan Freedom will be available on Comixology, with the first issue dropping on June 16, 2026.
