Earth develops a temporal echo across multiple timelines creating duplicates of everyone on Earth who want to plug us into a power grid and use us as living batteries even though they all do bad impressions of William Shatner who derive their sustainance by a crowd of people with pitchforks and torches but a priest tells them about the God and they are taken in by a kindly old lady who mistakes them for lost children.
