Based on Dua Lipa’s Physical, this new video from Star Rekt is nearly the match of Dua Lipa’s original music video. He has a voice that is at once powerful and versatile. When he holds those longer notes, you can hear a vocal underpinning, like a saw blade, that gives his melodic runs a kind of power and authority he wouldn’t have otherwise. And of course, with the help of choreography by Carolyn Deskin (@carriesaysdance on Instagram), he’s got the moves to go with it. Teams of backup dancers? No problem. He just did all his own backup dancing too, reshooting each scene to get as many as five separate elements of himself in the scene. It’s no wonder this work of art took nearly two full years to get done start to finish.
