Thankmas – Thanksgiving and Christmas, the best of both worlds! Who wouldn’t love that, endless feasting and gifts galore…

However, if you’re Jacksepticeye and hundreds of other creators online, then Thankmas is something very, very different. It’s silliness, it’s community, and most of all it’s just a little bit miraculous.

Thankmas, for them, changes lives with charitable giving.

This year, Los Angeles Comic Con and one of their partners, Tiltify, are joining the effort spearheaded by perennial YouTube star Sean “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin to raise money for a good cause this holiday season.

Thankmas, an annual internet multimedia event that raises money for various charities via livestream, will be taking place on December 11 on Jacksepticeye’s YouTube channel. However, in addition to his own personal event, McLoughlin has opened fundraising efforts to creators big and small across the web for the second year in a row.

Through livestreams, videos, performances, and other forms of entertainment, creators will be doing their part to help meet their own goals for the mass charity drive. All Thankmas campaigns go towards raising funds for New Story, an organization that provides housing to homeless families in critical situations.

Tiltify, the fundraising platform that has partnered with McLoughlin, has teamed up with Los Angeles Comic Con to not only host various events on their designated stage at the convention, but raise funds for the cause themselves. For the duration of the convention, LA Comic Con will be donating $5.00 of every Weekend Streaming Pass purchased in the Comic Con Metaverse to the Thankmas campaign – a noteworthy contribution, as the hope for this year’s Thankmas is to raise a total of $10 million for New Story.

New Story utilizes innovative solutions, new technologies, and the help of locals to provide permanent, multi-generational housing to those in need. Through their efforts, they secure full ownership by the families involved, of both the dwelling and the land, ensuring that those served will have a permanent, safe place to call home. To date, New Story has built more than 2,300 homes across Haiti, El Salvador, Bolivia, and Mexico.

As part of the event, I will personally be participating in Thankmas by covering the Tiltify stage at this year’s Los Angeles Comic Con, in addition to other panels and events at the convention. Readers can follow coverage here on Scifi.radio, and donate at my personal fundraising page, or at the main event page. There, you can find information on the event, the creators participating, and even take part yourself! I would also like to thank the station, who not only have agreed to host my coverage, but will be making a donation of their own to the campaign.

Will you be at LA Comic Con this year? Let me know in the comments below – and let’s work together to help families find a home for Christmas.
