Video of the Day: The Hu & Lzzy Hale with ‘Song of Women’

The Hu is one of the more intriguing success stories in the world of geeky music. Drawing on the rich musical heritage of their native country of Mongolia and blending it with hard rock, The Hu has captured our imagination with their otherwordly sound. That their unique sound intersects the world of science fiction is almost inevitable. Their music appears as diagetic music in the game Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, and it’s a perfect fit there.

Today we bring you another unlikely fusion, with The Hu being joined by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, who has previously appeared on a SCIFI.radio Video of the Day singing on a Lindsey Stirling track, Shatter Me.

Pause the SCIFI.radio stream while you watch this.

The result is amazing and powerful, soulful and soaring. It’s a battle cry, a call to memory, a call to identity, and a call to arms. It’s an anthem not only for women, but for the power of the human spirit itself.

You can hear this song, of course, on the SCIFI.radio daily play list. There’s just something about the synthesis of two unlikely genres of music that makes us not only sit up and take notice, but makes us want to merge with the thrumming resonance directly.

Song of Women is part of the new album by The Hu, called The Gereg, and you can order it from the links below.
