‘Aliens” Michael Biehn to Join the Cast of ‘The Mandalorian’

Our distinguished colleagues at The Hollywood Reporter have dropped the word that Disney+’s popular series The Mandalorian will be adding Michael Biehn to the cast for its second season.

Although perhaps best known for playing gunslinger Chris Larabee in the western series Magnificent Seven, Biehn’s Geek Cred is substantial. One of his first television roles was as a Sandman in Logan’s Run. He starred in Aliens as Corporal Dwayne Hicks, as Kyle Reese in the original The Terminator, and as Judson Cross in Adventure, Inc.

Biehn’s other credits include a costar role in The Abyss as Lt. Coffey, as Eddy Kay in Timebomb.

He starred as Jack Wallach in Asteroid. He worked with Next Gen‘s Jonathan Frakes in Clockstoppers as Henry Gates. He voiced Commander Michael McNeil in the videogame Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun. He co-starred in Meggido as David Alexander. In the horror movie Planet Terror, Biehn played Sheriff Hague. In The Metal Hurlant Chronicles he was Sheriff Jones.

He will be playing a bounty hunter in The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian is one of the most popular shows on Disney’s streaming service Disney +. It focuses on the adventures of a bounty hunter after the events of The Return of the Jedi and before The Force Awakens.

Casting notices about actors appearing in the second season of The Mandalorian are a bit quixotic, since the filming of the second season had actually wrapped as of March 6. Disney and Lucasfilm are keeping casting news a secret, doling out information week by week to keep fans on the hook until the release of the new season, which is scheduled to make its Disney+ debut in October 2020, the exact date to be determined.
