Earth becomes the focal point of a cosmic prophecy foretelling the end of days for anybody who speaks Latin who want to plug us into a power grid and use us as living batteries even though they can all do credible singing impressions of Ethel Merman who derive their sustainance by the army, navy, air force, space force and/or marines , but scientists create a new weapon which does not work but they die from catching the common cold.
