In a complete role reversal, in the Absolute universe from DC Comics, the Justice League is an alliance of powerful figures in government and business who have come together to oppose superheroes and preventing them from upsetting “the natural order”.
They consist of Veronica Cale, their leader, Dr. Elenore Thawne, Hector Hammond, Ra’s al Ghul, and the Joker.
The heroes they’re aligning themselves against are Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Jo Mullein (Green Lantern) and Wally West (The Flash). It’s the Martian Manhunter who serves as the key force who rallies the team together.
DC Comics presents a five-issue event, launching in April of 2027, from the creative team of writer Jason Aaron and artist Juan Ferreyra. It will be a self-contained series, with no required tie-in issues or interruptions to ongoing solo titles.
