The Gameoverse pilot is created by Ross O’Donovan and written by O’Donovan and Arin Hanson (it was Hanson who created the ever-popular Game Grumps). It stars the voices of Erica Lindbeck as Kit, Jschlatt as Kaboodle, Arin Hanson as Gobbles, Elsie Lovelock as Miss Information, Christopher Sabat as Warrick, and Michael Cusack as Snappers.
In a 2026 interview, Arin Hanson said that he and his team spent years pitching the series to various studios, but were always rejected. He decided to finance the series himself and said that thanks to his persistence, the series was eventually noticed by Australian animation studio Glitch Productions. Afterwards, the team reworked the script of the show, and Hanson said the script underwent “700 different rewrites and iterations”.
Glitch is a production imprint, if you will, of Game Grumps Entertainment of San Bruno, California. Over the years, the Game Grumps network has expanded beyond daily gaming videos. They have produced side-series (like Steam Train), launched live stage tours, and even founded an independent video game publishing label.
