Crowley and Aziraphale have their hands full this time. Heaven is planning the Second Coming, but Jesus has gone missing. Calling it a Season 3 trailer is something of a misnomer, an aberration of promotional branding. The trailer is for finale to the complete series, which consists of a single 90 minute episode.

In the finale for Good Omens , Aziraphale and Crowley are picking up where the story left off in Season 2 as they face their most personal adventure yet. Their millennia-long friendship has been fractured ever since Aziraphale accepted the offer to return to Heaven to replace the Archangel Gabriel, leaving Crowley behind. Now, as the newly appointed Supreme Archangel, Aziraphale is tasked with overseeing the Second Coming, a responsibility that weighs heavily on him. Heaven’s expectations are a bit antagonistic for Aziraphale’s tastes.
Good Omens Season 3 stars Martin Sheen and Davud Tennant, reprising their roles. Also returning are Doon Mackichan as Michael, Gloria Obianyo as Uriel, Liz Carr as Saraqael, Paul Chahidi as Sandalphon, Quelin Sepulveda as Muriel, and Derek Jacobi as The Metatron. Bilal Hasna joins the cast as Jesus.
It has taken a little while to get Good Omens Season 3 to screen. Production was held up by a number of allegations against the show’s creator, Neil Gaiman, which he denies, and claims to have a mountain of evidence to the contrary in his possession. Gaiman helped write the final ep but subsequently stood back and did not work on the production. At that point Season 3 shifted from multiple episodes to one 90-minuter. Another Gaiman project for Prime Video, Anansi Boys, is yet to make it to screen.
Rob Wilkins of Narrativia, representing Pratchett’s estate; as well as BBC Studios Comedy’s Chief Creative Officer, Josh Cole, serve as executive producers of Good Omens alongside Rachel Talalay, who directs the finale. Sarah-Kate Fenelon and Chris Newman are producers.
