All the buzz is about the Disney Princesses, but you know who’s not being taken seriously? The Disney Princes — and they’re not exactly thrilled about it.
PattyCake Productions has been making increasingly more and more amazing musicals since 2016, and have published around 140 videos on YouTube. Each one of them is meticulously made, sometimes involving production values as good or greater than the source material from which they draw their inspiration, and always including best-of-class singing talent.
Take the featured singer Jordan Litz in Disney Princes are FED UP! He plays Prince Charming (and bemoans the fact that he doesn’t even have a last name, it’s just “Charming”) and explains the plight of your average Disney Prince. Litz has recently joined the cast of Wicked for its 20th anniversary in the West End production as Flyero. He still has some headroom in his career, but not very much. He’s already about the best there is.
The transformations and production values astonish. There is even a scene in which Prince Phillip in chains, actually getting a little sympathy from a quintessential Malificent (who does not speak or sing, but her presence is an amazing boost to the scene).
