The Director’s Cut of Losing the Light collects all 5 issues of the  Alterna Comics mini-series, adding an additional 5 pages of story,  the Tinseltown comic short  “Pinboy,” from It Came Out on a Wednesday , 3 new pinups (2 by Henry Ponciano and one by Peter Simeti) in addition to 3 previously published ones (by Andrew Pepboy, Don Schmidt, & Henry P.) with an introduction by comics legend Tony Isabella, the creator of Black Lightning.

Abigail Moore is the daughter of a fallen police officer. In 1915, when the L.A.P.D. rejected her application, Abigail responded to a Utopia Studios ad looking for female officers. While her official duties consisted primarily of amusing and assisting the tourists, it wasn’t long before the crime-ridden underbelly of Tinseltown reared its ugly head. Headstrong and tenacious, Abby may not always get it right, but when push comes to shove, there’s no one else you’d rather have in your corner!

In Losing the Light, a series of accidents, scandals, and protests threaten to bankrupt Utopia Studios. Officer Moore is sent to oversee a film shoot in Mexico for a picture that could save Utopia, but all is not what it seems. By the time the truth is revealed, Abigail will put her life on the line for both her friends and her country

The work is very nearly completely done, with just a couple of panel adjustments here or there to improve the impact of a couple of scenes, but unlike a great many trade paperbacks, Losing the Light is essentially just ready to go to press.
