It’s the first trailer we’ve seen for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 motion picture, and the High Evolutionary is making a mess of things.
In Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora , must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
They’re all back for one more adventure:
It’s been really tough on Quill, who loses his love, Gamora, only to find a replacement for her from a different point in her timeline, who frankly can’t stand him (and Gamora doesn’t think much of her, to be honest). There is a lot to unpack in this trailer — even a quick shot of Will Poulter as Adam Warlock.
The whole plot hinges upon the efforts of the High Evolutionary, who is bent on creating a better world, but the way he wants it. As Rocket points out, he doesn’t want a better world, just a different one.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 makes its theatrical debut on May 5, 2023.
