Take a first look at this teaser for Star Trek: Picard’s third and final season. If there was any doubt of the epic stature of all these men and women, may it be forever banished.

The teaser includes Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge), Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), Michelle Hurd (Raffi Musiker), Michael Dorn (Worf), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), Jonathan Frakes (William Riker), and Gates McFadden (Beverly Crusher).

Today at San Diego Comic-Con during the Star Trek Universe panel, Patrick Stewart and Gates McFadden reunited on stage, joined by other cast via zoom. Paramount+ also revealed a first look at character portraits for the cast of Star Trek: Picard season 3, Take a look at the portraits, below:

Geordi appears to be in an admiral’s Starfleet uniform, while Worf appears to be wearing a captain’s insignia. Dr. Crusher is out of uniform. This is the first time the Next Generation (TNG) crew has appeared together onscreen since 2002. Yes, Brent Spiner is set to return as “an old-new character.” Intriguing.

Season three will debut on Paramount+ in 2023. There are rumors it has already finished filming.

According to Trek series executive producer Alex Kurtzman, Picard will set out to find and reunite his old crew, who are now spread across the galaxy. “I think we took two seasons to earn the return of the [“TNG”] crew” Kurtzman said. He did not reveal who the main villain of the new season would be, other than teasing “I won’t say much except to say that she’s amazing.”

Stewart also teased that he will indeed set foot on the Enterprise-D at least once in Season 3.

The trailer ends with an inspirational line from Picard, in which he promotes unity, faith, and positive sentiments: “As long as you and your crew remain steadfast… you are never without hope.”
