Jodie Whittaker HAPPY BIRTHDAY Arthur Darvill

Today is a happy day for the cast and fans of the BBC’s cult classic show Dr, Who. Both Jodie Whittaker, the actress who plays the Thirteenth Doctor, and Arthur Darvill, the actor who played Rory Williams, Companion to the Eleventh Doctor are celebrating their 40th birthdays.

Yes, both Whittaker and Darvill were born on June 17, 1982, she in Skelmanthorpe, West Yorkshire, England, and he in Birmingham, West Midlands, England.

Let’s bake a cake! Let’s bake two cakes and have a party with fish fingers and custard, jelly babies, celery stalks, and birthday cake. Put on your favorite fez!

Before starring as the first (known) female incarnation of the Doctor, Whittaker starred as Samantha in the SciFi/horror/comedy Attack the Block,(2011), which also featured Star WarsJohn Boyega.

Darvill played Time Master Rip Hunter in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. He played the Rev. Paul Coates in Broadchurch, which was written and created by DW showrunner Chris Chibnall, and also featured Jodie Whittaker (the 13th Doctor) and David Tennant (the 10th Doctor).

A very happy birthday to both Ms. Whittaker and Mr. Darvill. Here’s wishing you both long and successful careers.
