Comic book superstar Marv Wolman, creator of the DC Comics title The New Teen Titans, announced on his Facebook page that he is pleased and excited that “Wow. Brother Blood and Mother Mayhem will both appear in next season’s Titans live action show. I loved all the Church of Blood stories but I never thought I’d see those two on TV. Wow again.”

Brother Blood and Mother Mayhem were popular villains in The Teen Titans. comicbook. Mr. Wolfman said, “It was, obviously, my take on TV evangelists. And I thought they were pretty creepy.”

Marv Wolfman has always been supportive of the Bill of Rights, especially the First Amendment. His comic books have reflected current events before. Do you remember when he based an alien despot on Idi Amin, despite warnings it might hurt overseas sales? John Peter Zenger would be proud of him.

British actor Joseph Morgan (best known for playing Klaus Mikaelson in The Vampire Diaries and its spinoff The Originals), will be playing Brother Blood in the fourth season of HBO Max Titans. No word yet on who will be playing his wife, Mother Mayhem.

Are you watching Titans? Are you looking forward to seeing the notorious Brother Blood and Mother Mayhem on the show? We want to hear from you. There’s a comments section below. What do you think?
