Trailer Park: ‘The Addams Family 2’ Trailer 2

Watch the latest trailer for the upcoming movie, The Addams Family 2, starring Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Kroll, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Wallace Shawn, Bette Midler, Bill Hader, and Snoop Dogg as “IT.”

Wednesday Addams feels that she’s not like anyone else in the family. What if she’s right? Is Wednesday Addams really an Addams?

In the sequel to the first fully animated film, The Addams Family 2 we see The Addams Family’s Morticia and Gomez struggling to come to terms with the idea that their children are growing up. So, to rekindle their family bond, they decide to take Wednesday, Pugsley, and Uncle Fester on one last family vacation. Join them on this hilarious adventure as they trek across America.

Why does The Addams Family appeal to us so much? Especially for those of the geeky persuasion, they are us. We all feel a little estranged from our fellow humans, but geeks and nerds in particular feel this. We are outsiders to the mainstream, and misunderstood by the mundanes around us, sometimes to the point of being attacked for being different. The Addams Family brings this into focus for us, and makes us less afraid to let our geek flags fly – and as weird as they are, they do have one important thing in common: they love one another very deeply. They are a true family, and however strange they may seem to our eyes, that underlying truth makes them all the more appealing.

The Addams Family 2, directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon, arrives in both theaters and on premium streaming services on October 1, 2021. The decision to make the film available on premium streaming services on the first day was mainly to address concerns over the recent surge in the Delta variant of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
