On ‘The Event Horizon’: Producer / Director Neil D’Monte

NEIL D’MONTE was born and raised in Chicago. A graduate of USC, Neil started out as an actor, but soon made the transition to storyboard artists, director and producer. As a much sought-after Storyboard Artist, Neil has been involved with such blockbuster movies as Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, Jurassic World, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Den of Thieves and Rambo: Last Blood.  Most recently, he was the Storyboard Artist for the award-winning movie Palm Springs starring Adam Sandler and Chrisin Milioti. and Unbreakable Boy starring Zachary Levi.

In addition to his numerous upcoming projects as a Storyboard Artist, Neil is also Producer and Head of Development with Robots of Awesome on the Sony Pictures lot. Avid listeners of The Event Horizon will remember that he’s been a guest twice for his comic book, Clan of the Veinit has now been announced that he will be the Producer for the film version of this comic book!

An accomplished musician/drummer, Neil has toured and recorded with guitarist Peter Distefanmo (Porno for Pyros/Lance Herbstrong/Satellite Party) and James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins). Outside of work, Neil is a humanitarian who donates his time helping terminally-ill children as a spokesperson with St. Baldrick’s Children’s Cancer Foundation and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA)
