Disney has a lot planned for 2020. In addition to a second season for the immensely popular The Mandalorian, and the first season of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Disney + revealed another Avengers spin-off show, WandaVision, will debut this year instead of 2021 as previously announced.
Look what’s coming to Disney + in 2020:
Of course there will be WandaVision, among other classics and new delights.
(By the way, you can turn your SCIFI.radio stream back on now. Just saying.)
WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, and Paul Bettany as the Vision. WandaVision, originally announced as a 2021 show, will instead debut in 2020; it “will blend the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a series Marvel Studios describes as ‘two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives who begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.’ ”
Like Loki, WandaVision will lead the way to Dr. Strange 2. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to debut in theaters on May 7, 2021. It will star Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange and co-star Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch.
WandaVision will co-star Kat Dennings and Randall Park reprising their MCU roles as Darcy Lewis and Agent Jimmy Woo, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as the obligatory “nosy neighbor” required in every sitcom, like Gladys Kravitz on Bewitched. Hahn voiced Doc Ock in the Hugo-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
