We know our listeners hail from all over the world, and observe all sorts of traditions congruent to the Winter Solstice, but one of the most popular and enduring ones in the world is Christmas. To that end, we offer a Christmas gift as only a geek radio station can: Superman’s Christmas Adventure.
8 am Pacific / 11 am Pacific / 4 pm GMT
4 pm Pacific / 7 pm Pacific / Midnight GMT
Released in 1941, right at the beginning of World War II, it featured the Superman Radio Players, and directed by Jack Johnstone. In those days the identity of the actor who played Superman was a well guarded secret, so Superman is listed as playing himself. And in those days, children all over the world just believed they were hearing the voice of the Man of Steel himself.
You can hear the regular Superman radio serial broadcast here on SCIFI.radio every day at 2 am Pacific / 5 am Eastern / 10 am GMT and 6 pm Pacific / 9 pm Pacific / 2 am GMT.
We hope you enjoy this remarkable peek into Geekmases Past.
The staff and friendly creatives here at SCIFI.radio wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
