Earth becomes the subject of a cosmic reality TV show for ferrets who are friendly but incomprehensible even though they all do bad impressions of William Shatner and might be overpowered by a slap to the side of the head with a large fish but they fall in love with a young girl and they form a rock band and tour the galaxy, becoming interstellar celebrities.
