Earth discovers a portal to a dimension filled with sentient vegetables who are friendly but incomprehensible even though they are radioactive and cannot be destroyed by a bunch of Elvis impersonators but a priest tells them about the God and they are taken in by a kindly old lady who mistakes them for lost children.
