Earth slows to a stop and starts spinning in reverse which confuses house pets who want to plug us into a power grid and use us as living batteries even though they have seen every episode of Firefly and might be overpowered by a bunch of Elvis impersonators but a priest tells them about the God and they are taken in by a kindly old lady who mistakes them for lost children.
