Earth unleashes a cosmic storm of chaos and unpredictability on the universe in the form of door to door salesmen who want to plug us into a power grid and use us as living batteries even though they can all do credible singing impressions of Ethel Merman and might be overpowered by a bunch of Elvis impersonators , but scientists create a new weapon which does not work but they die from catching the common cold.
