Earth people suddenly can speak only in technobabble and discover small machines who are friendly but incomprehensible even though they all do bad impressions of William Shatner and cannot be destroyed by the army, navy, air force, space force and/or marines , but scientists create a new weapon which does not work but they die from catching the common cold.
