The Mystery Machine – well, a Mystery Machine, anyway – is being sold by Ray’s Classics in San Carlos, California. It’s a ’69 Dodge cargo van for sale with the iconic paint job of the Mystery Machine from the cartoon series Scooby-Doo! The van has been seen tooling around the San Francisco area for years, often gracing comic book and science fiction conventions. The van is now being sold for the bargain basement price of $3,200. Doctor Who’s New Companion Revealed
Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat has announced, and the BBC has confirmed, that actress Jenna-Louise Coleman has landed the role of the Time Lord’s new companion in Doctor Who, replacing Karen Gillan’s character Amy Pond when she leaves the show in the upcoming production season. Coleman, 25, has also appeared in Waterloo Road and Julian Fellowes’ four part mini-series Titanic.
An American TARDIS At Gallifrey One
In February at the 23rd annual Gallifrey One convention held in Los Angeles each year, there was a significant TARDIS sighting. In this case it was the TARDIS console from the only American-made TARDIS, used in the 1996 made-for-TV movie starring Paul McGann. The Beatles’ YELLOW SUBMARINE Comes To Blu-Ray May 29
The Beatles’ classic 1968 animated feature film, Yellow Submarine, has been digitally restored for DVD and Blu-ray release on May 28 (May 29 in North America). The film’s songtrack album will be reissued on CD on the same date.
