Al Plastino, Superman Artist & Co-Creator of Supergirl, Dead at 91
Al Plastino, co-creator of both Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes, died yesterday at the age of 91 of prostate cancer, in the midst of a battle to regain the rights to some of his original art so that it could be donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential library.

Yesterday, Rhythm & Hues laid off all but two animators currently working on Prana animation projects from their studio in Mumbai, and most of their animators in Hyderabad. Bouncers were brought in to handle any potential trouble during the actions, despite assurances that the Hyderabad studio would remain in operation.
