Marvel Television’s VisionQuest is the capper to the Wandavision trilogy (the second installment being Agatha All Along). In it, the Vision remains, but cannot access the memories of his former superhero identity. VisionQuest is about his search for himself, and the salvation of his son, Tommy Maximoff.
Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. His head is full of AI personas still embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty is placed on his head. He ends up on on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.
VisionQuest, starring Paul Bettany as The Vision, James Spader as Ultron, and Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff , with a cameo appearance by Tom Hiddleston (presumably as Loki, but we don’t yet know) makes its appearance on the Disney+ streaming service on October 14, 2026.
