LEGO have unveiled 40902 Tribute to Leonardo da Vinci, an upcoming gift with purchase (GWP) on their online store.
The kit is the next in line of GWP dioramas featuring historical individuals, following in the footsteps of last year’s 40766 Tribute to Jane Austen’s Books.
The set includes a Leonardo Da Vinci minifigure, similar to the one from last year’s 10363 Leonardo da Vinci’s Flying Machine, the Mona Lisa, Da Vinci’s portrait of the Italian noblewoman Lisa del Gioconda, a copy of his Codex on the Flight of Birds, an inkwell and writing quill, a pear on a pedestal (presumably for use as a still life painting subject), jars of paints and pigments, and other artifacts suggesting Da Vinci’s fascination with understanding and codifying the natural world. There’s even a model of the Da Vinci glider, and the studio’s cat.
The Tribute to Leonardo da Vinci won’t be available for direct purchase. Instead, there will be a certain purchase threshold to qualify for the kit, probably in the neighborhood of US $125-$150 as has been the case for previous gift with purchase sets.
No release date has been released yet, but LEGO’s current early-June promos are slated to end on 18 June, so it’s likely that the Leonardo da Vinci Tribute will become available sometime on or after June 19, 2026.
