When Season 2 of My Adventures with Superman arrived in 2024, there was a solid chance we’d never see any more of it. Wonders happen.
Being Superman just got a lot—lot—harder. With the new season of My Adventures with Superman, the show takes more stories from the comics and retools them to fit into this new narrative about the life of the Man of Steel. This time they’re borrowing heavily from the iconic Death of Superman story line from the 1990’s. Different alternate versions of Superman have arrived on Earth, including Conner Kent/Superboy, the Cyborg Superman/Hank Henshaw, and the Eradicator, a Kryptonian AI superweapon.
We’ve already seen John Henry Irons in Season 2, who took on the persona of Steel in the Death of Superman comicbook series, so we should have seen this new plot twist coming a mile away. They morph so much from the original stories, though, that it was a tough call as to whether they were going to pull on that thread or not.
The third season was in some doubt originally. The uncertainty regarding its renewal stemmed from a delayed announcement, long production times, with the show runners Jake Wyatt, Brendan Clogher and Josie Campbell, the show runners hedging their bets by writing the Season 2 finale before the third season was guaranteed. The original series order had only been for two seasons.
My Adventures with Superman features the voices of Jack Quaid as Clark Kent/Superman (who is also Lt. Boimler on Star Trek: Lower Decks), Alice Lee as Lois Lane, Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen, Max Mittelman as Hank Henshaw, Catherine Taber as Siobhan McDougal/Silver Banshee (she was also Princess Amidala in Star Wars: The Clone Wars), and Darrel Brown as Perry White.
The first episode drops on Adult Swim on June 13, 2026, with episodes streaming on HBO Max.
