Laika Studios has been working on their next masterpiece for years. Today they’re finally ready to give us our first look at it. Welcome to Wildwood.
From the makers of Coraline, Wildwood is a sweeping, darkly magical adventure about a young girl who ventures into a dangerous hidden forest to rescue her brother – an odyssey shaped by love, power, and the courage to confront the unknown.
From director Travis Knight, Wildwood is based on the bestselling novel by Colin Meloy and illustrated by Carson Ellis. It stars Peyton Elizabeth Lee as Prue McKeel, Jacob Tremblay as Curtis Mehlberg, and Carey Mulligan as Alexandrea. Awkwafina plays Prue McKeel’s mother.
One choice changes everything. Watch the Teaser for Wildwood now, and see the movie in theatres everywhere October 23.
