SCIFI.radio is creator-forward fandom radio, and sometimes it’s important to talk about what others are doing in the creative continuum. This time we wanted to amplify the work of Lynn Barker, who co-authored Futurus Rex with the late D.C. Fontana, one of the premiere writers of Star Trek TOS.
This time, the very well produced DreamForge Channel has interviewed Lynn Barker about her career as a novelist, screenwriter and script consultant, writing for such shows as like Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Twilight Zone, and even, curiously, Jason of Star Command.
In this interview, they dive deep into the origins of Futurus Rex, its Arthurian influences, strong female protagonist Aliena, and the unique blend of science fiction and fantasy that defines its post-apocalyptic world.
There’s also a sequel in the works.
Futurus Rex is currently available as an eBook and an audiobook, and is available on a plethora of services including Amazon.com.
