The dynamic Cat Hero, Eleven, attempts to rescue his brothers from imprisonment from an ruthless but mysterious warlord.

In a dream world, the stray cat Eleven transforms into a white tiger swordsman, locked in battle with the mysterious Ruthless Blade.

This atmospheric animated short is featured in the first episode of the second season of bilibili’s CAPSULES, co-produced by Ideomotor, Paper Plane Animation Studio, and bilibili.

This was the most fun I have had in 12 animated minutes in a long time. Clean, visually dynamic, and tightly told, this story does everything it needs to and then some. I will have to find more of these when time permits.

About Capsules 2

“CAPSULES2” is one of Bilibili’s national original animation support programs. It involves professional teams from various industries with mature animation production experience, creating independent short films in unrestricted forms and styles. This is an exploration of Chinese original animation, with each work being a creative concept in its own right. The second season expands the audience’s imagination of domestic animation through the characteristics of short films, featuring not only science fiction that explores technological awareness but also growth stories focusing on female self-expression and reconciliation, as well as documentaries that show human concern for vulnerable groups. The animation styles encompass traditional Chinese ink painting, Ghibli-style picture books, and retro aesthetics with high-contrast black-and-white visuals.
