Animator Trevor Carlee has given us a gift this Christmas Day, 2024. It’s the trailer for James Gunn’s Superman, but animated entirely in LEGO. We love this on so many levels. It’s a shot-by-shot complete recreation of the first full teaser trailer for the film.
To answer the obvious questions, no, it wasn’t done using A.I., and no, it wasn’t animated using stop-motion LEGO builds. This is CGI, but it’s done in the same way the LEGO animated specials are done. Trevor is heavily into recreating popular TV shows and movies in LEGO, and this latest offering shows that he truly respects his source material and loves what he does.
