When we first saw this float by, we thought it was for a new game or something. No, it’s a full on live action feature film, with the new characters introduce in 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potss join Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard and McKenna Grace as they return to the place it all began: an old firehouse in New York City. The new Ghostbusters team up with the original ones, who have developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
This is going to be a fun adventure. The spirit of the Ghostbusters is back, after sputtering a bit with the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot featuring Melissa McCarthy, JKristen Wiig and Lesle Jones, the franchise has returned from the dead in full force. No release date has yet been set, but it will appear first in premium formats and IMAX.
