Unicorn: Warriors Eternal is a quirky stylized action adventure series, set in a world where a malevolent presence has existed since the beginning of time. The story follows a group of ancient heroes who have fought against the forces of darkness through countless reincarnations. Melinda, a powerful sorceress, Tseng, a “cosmic monk,” and Edred, a warrior elf, are all dedicated to their mission. However, their lives are turned upside down when their reincarnation cycle is interrupted, and their souls are thrust into the bodies of teenagers who are unaware of their powers or true identities.

In the trailer for Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, the heroes face new monstrous forms of the ultimate evil they are hunting. Despite being reborn as teenagers, this seems to be the least of their worries.

Tartakovsky himself is listed as sole director and writer so far. The ten episode mini-series is produced by Sam Register and Genndy Tartakovsky. The full cast list hasn’t been released, and may not be for a while. The IMDB page on the show seems only to list casting for the episodes currently released, but so far, thanks to the Cartoon Network Fandom page on the show, we have:

  • Melinda (voiced by Hazel Doupe)
  • Seng (voiced by Demari Hunte)
  • Eldred (voiced by Tom Milligan)
  • Copernicus (no idea yet, and he may not have a speaking voice, but strongly resembles TikTok, the Clockwork Man of Oz, who is widely regarded as the first robotic fictional character in pretty much anything, and made his first appearance in Frank L. Baum’s Ozma of Oz in 1917.)

Unicorn: Warriors Eternal hasn’t really been on anybody’s radar for a while now, possibly due to its release being delayed at least twice that we know of. It was originally scheduled for release in 2020, then rescheduled to May 10, 2021. It finally hits Cartoon Network‘s Adult Swim on May 4th at midnight.
