Jon Favreau to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

SciFi.Radio, your best news source for all things geeky and nerdish reported that Disney Legend Jon Favreau would be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We are now pleased to update our earlier report with a time and date set for Favreau’s star ceremony. His star will be installed Monday February 13, 2023 at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard., at 1100 Pacific Time.

Jon Favreau’s star will be the 2,746th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His star will be for his work in the field of television, as a writer, producer, and director, not for his filmwork as an actor. Favreau plays Happy Hogan, Tony Stark’s bodyguard/chauffeur in the MCU movies. He also has five Emmy nominations for his work behind the cameras on The Mandalorian. He’s had two Saturn nominations, both for Best Director, and three Hugo nominations for Best Dramatic Presentation, both Short Form and Long Form.

Lupita Sanchez Cornejo, Chair of the Hollywood Walk of Fame will be the Mistress of Ceremonies for the event. The guest speakers will be Robert Downey, Jr. (Tony Stark aka Iron Man in the MCU and Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows (2011) and Chef Roy Choi from Favreau’s show Chef.

Many of Favreau’s friends, family, and fans will join him February 13 for the Star ceremony. If you’re in southern California, you might want to go to 6840 Hollywood Boulevard to watch. If you’re out of state, or in northern California, you might prefer to watch online. It will be streaming at walkoffame.com at 11:00 am Pacific Time.

Whether watching the ceremony in personor streaming it online it is absolutely free. There is no charge. (The event will be streamed live exclusively at walkoffame.com. If someone attempts to charge you a fee for watching, it’s not the real website, but an Internet scam.)

Our congratulations to Jon Favreau on this well-deserved honor.
