1st Look: ‘Power of the Doctor’ Jody Whittaker Season Finale Trailer

The trailer for Jody Whittaker’s final role as the Doctor in Doctor Who is here. The episode is called The Power of the Doctor, and it looks like the organized collision of the Doctor’s entire history, with villains, companions and heroes old and new.

That puts the Special exactly one year and one month away from Doctor Who’s 60^th anniversary on the 23^rd of November 2023, when former showrunner Russell T Davies will be back in the driving seat and is expected to introduce Ncuti Gatwa as the 14^th Doctor.

Some returning faces are Janet Fielding and Sophie Aldred as former Classic-era companions Tegan and Ace. Oh, and Sacha Dhawan as the Master. We’re not entirely sure if the Master is the bad guy here, and this time he may not be. We’ll just have to wait and see.

The Power of the Doctor will air at 7:30pm on BBC One on October 23, 2022, and with the special clocking in at a whopping 90 minutes, meaning it will finish airing at 9pm on the channel.
