Fortnite is getting a Doctor Who crossover, and it’s way more than just a skin or location. It’s complete themed adventures from the Whoniverse. Players will take on new adventures, missions and battles, while exploring iconic locations from the Whoniverse, all on a brand-new Doctor Who island within the game.
BBC Studios announced the arrival of Doctor Who’s TARDIS in Fortnite recently. Players can visit the specially designed island featuring the good doctor’s famous telephone booth/time travel device. From there players will be sent on a mission to help repair the TARDIS by collecting “Dynamorphic Generator Crystals” from around the island hub.
The mysterious Reality Virus has caused many realities to coexist on Gallifrey. From the TARDIS hub, players can then visit four other locations based on classic Doctor Who adventures.
(The Reality Virus was introduced in another Doctor Who video game)
Players can:
If players are unfamiliar with Doctor Who, they can visit the Doctor Who Museum first.
Mat Way, Global Director, Gaming & Interactive at BBC Studios, said:
“Developing an island in Fortnite is new territory for Doctor Who and we’re excited to welcome the game’s established players into the Whoniverse. This is a great opportunity to introduce a gaming audience to Doctor Who and also for the existing community to experience a brand-new adventure. Players can expect a fast-paced, unpredictable journey with familiar friends and foes making appearances along the way.”
To access the Doctor Who Fortnite crossover for free:
From Fortnite’s main menu, open up the island mode then choose “island code.”
The Doctor Who island code is 3610-1396-4646.
The move expands Doctor Who’s reach in the gaming space beyond its EVE Online crossover and digital and tabletop standalone games.

Fortnite’s Doctor Who crossover is the latest in a long line of collaborations that the popular Battle Royale title offers. Other recent partnerships include Spider-Man: No Way Home and Uncharted. We also have a Doctor Strange collaboration in Chapter 3 Season 2 that dropped at about the same time as Doctor Who. The metaverse is happening.
