A new Imperial recruit butts heads with a grizzled veteran in this Star Wars short. created entirely in Unreal Engine 5.
Unreal Engine 5 is a game engine, used for some of the best AAA game titles ever made. Its ability to generate motion picture grade computer animation is renowned, and its use in The Mandalorian is a bit of ingenious movie magic.
AFK, the web series about a bunch of MMO players who mysteriously wake up in the bodies of the characters they play in game, is planning to use Unreal Engine 5 on their upcoming series A Hole in the World, and to test out their workflow, they made this marvelous little Star Wars comedy short.
Watch through to the end. First Day is nuanced, glories itself in attention to detail, and it’s pretty hilarious.
