Scottish actor Ewan McGregor and his partner American actress/singer Mary Elizabeth Winstead, have produced a son. McGregor will be the voice of the Cricket in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming film Pinocchio.

Both actors are divorced. McGregor (Obi-wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and reprising the role of the heroic Jedi in Disney+’s upcoming Obi-wan Kenobi TV show, Roman Sionis in Birds of Prey) already has four daughters from his first marriage to production designer Eve Mavrakis. Winstead had no offspring with her first husband writer/director Riley Stearns. McGregor’s son is her firstborn child.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, a noted Scream Queen, starred in several horror films. She was Huntress in Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, Mary Lincoln in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Royal Pain in Disney’s Sky High.

McGregor’s two eldest daughters, Clara and Esther, announced the birth of their baby brother Laurie on Instagram. Clara (age 25) confirmed the birth of her half-brother June 27, 2021. The family has not yet announced when and where Laurie was born, nor if his legal name is Laurence McGregor, Laurence Winstead, Laurie McGregor-Winstead, or something else. Nor have they said yet if the baby is British, American, or like Lilibet Diana Windsor-Mountbatten, has dual citizenship.
