Christmas came early today for fans of Jim Butcher’s series The Dresden Files.

We last saw Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard, and his crew in Skin Game. When we last saw Dresden, he had just completed a quest for Queen Mab to aid Nicodemus in stealing the Holy Grail from the vault of Hades. Waldo Butters was now a Knight of the Cross, Dresden and Karrin Murphy were embarking on a new relationship, Molly was adjusting to her new role as the Lady of Winter, and Dresden had been reunited with his daughter Maggie.

For five years, fans have sat back and impatiently waited for a release date for the next installment in The Dresden Files, itching to know what happens next. Now there is an end in sight. Ace Books has announced the official release date for Peace Talks will be July 14th, 2020 as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of the first book in the series, Storm Front.

In even more exciting news, Ace Books also announced that there will be a year-long campaign for the 20th anniversary of the series, which will include a series read-along, early release of the first few chapters of Peace Talks, contests and giveaways, and a new 20th Anniversary Edition hardcover of Storm Front.

Will Mab corrupt our beloved Harry Dresden? What will become of Butters, our newest Knight of the Cross? Will we see what Nicodemus has in store for the Grail? Will Dresden call upon Toot-Toot and the rest of the Za Guard once again? All our questions will be answered, July 14th, 2020!
