What do you do when somebody needs a hero and you’re the only one there?
Today’s selection is of Kyle McArthur, singing I’ll Save the Girl, a selection from a new musical called Superhero. The new theatrical production is set to begin January 31 at the Tony Kiser Theater in New York City. He plays Simon, a young man who is put in the situation of having to save someone without benefit of a cape, a flashy costume, or the gift of flight.
Before we can save the world, we have to save each other. From the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer of Next to Normal and the Tony Award-winning writer of Red comes a deeply human new musical about a fractured family, the mysterious stranger in apartment 4-B, and the unexpected hero who just might save the day.
The play is from a book by John Logan. Music & Lyrics are by Tom Kitt. Musical Staging by Lorin Latarro, and it’s directed by Jason Moore.
Superhero stars Julia Abueva, Kate Baldwin, Jake Levy, Kyle McArthur, Bryce Pinkham, Salena Qureshi, Thom Sesma and Nathaniel Stampley.
