Restraining Order To Protect Stan Lee

L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Laura Hymowitz has issued a restraining order to protect Stan Lee from his former business manager, Keya Morgan.

Stan Lee, known to his millions of fans as Stan the Man, has had a rough time the past few years.  His beloved wife Joan died just over a year ago.  They had been married sixty-nine years.  His health has been declining and he has had to cancel several convention appearances.  He is legally blind and his hearing is impaired.  He has a pacemaker.  It has been rumored he suffers from impaired judgment as a result of his age.  His reputation has been smeared by accusations of inappropriate behavior.  And only two months ago, Keya Morgan was arrested.

Variety reported that Keya Morgan, born Keyarash Mazhari, has been ordered not to contact Stan Lee, his daughter J. C. Lee, or his brother Larry Lieber.  (Stan was born Stanley Martin Lieber, but shortened that for his pen name.)  Morgan has been forbidden to contact any of the three or to come within 100 yards of them until August 17, 2021, according to Animation Magazine.

Morgan has been accused of elder abuse, embezzlement, and deliberately isolating Stan from his family members, friends, and fans.  Morgan faces misdemeanor charges for making false reports to the police.  As reported previously by SCIFI.radio, Morgan called the police on other police officers who had come to make a wellness check on Stan, and then the next day, called police on his own security guards after firing them without pay for refusing to sign non-disclosure agreements.  This is called “swatting” and could have led to Stan or the other police officers being hurt or killed.

SCIFI.radio hopes that Stan’s family are able to protect him and his interests from unscrupulous scoundrels.  Stan the Man created or co-created  Spider-Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Black Panther, the X-Men,  Ant-Man, Iron Man,  Thor, and too many other characters to count.  His cameos in the MCU movies are the delight of fans.  He has been a part of science fiction and fantasy all our lives, and to see him cheated is like seeing a beloved grandfather cheated.
