Video of the Day: “Avengers: Infinity War” Cast Sings “The Marvel Bunch”

Since Jimmy Fallon is a musician and singer himself, he invites some of the best musical acts onto his show to have fun. Each time he does it, we get something wonderful, like the cast of Avengers: Infinity War all taking turns in the studio to record the elements needed to make The Marvel Bunch.

You’ll want to pause the SCIFI.radio stream using the handy controller at the upper right before listening to this. As cool as our programming is, dueling soundtracks isn’t as much fun as you’d think.

Everybody’s in it! Robert Downey, Jr. kicks things off, and he’s joined in various parts by Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, Antony Mackie, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman. At the end there’s a quick bit by Tom Hiddleston, who does not sing in this video, but steals the show anyway.

It’s perhaps surprising to find out that all our favorite actors can sing as well, because we don’t usually think of them as singers. Scarlett Johansson, though, did her own singing as Ash the Porcupine in the animated feature Sing! Tom Hiddleston sings and plays guitar beautifully — and in character —in a remarkable role in the Hank Williams biopic I Saw The Light. Chris Hemsworth sings and accompanies himself on guitar in the Australian soap opera Home and Away, a show in which he starred between 2004 and 2007. Benedict Cumberbatch, of course, has one of those golden voices and if you search for clips of him singing on YouTube you’ll find hundreds of listings.

It used to be that only the fans made music like this. Now the stuff that fuels your everyday experience on SCIFI.radio is so mainstream that the stars of the movies are doing them themselves. The Fallon filks are short, but oh, so sweet.
