Today on The Event Horizon at 9 pm Pacific, we welcome actor/producer Lance Paul. Wearing a lot of hats, Lance has worked as writer, producer, actor and/or storyboard artist for a surprising list of motion pictures, including many industry titles such as Annie, Ted 2, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, and The Nut Job. His background in film finance serves him well in his role as producer and partner at Spirit World Productions. Working mostly in the grindhouse genre, he produces films for both local and foreign markets. Lance has three films in active production, which are Splatterpunk!, Dark Roads 79, Crepitus and Growing Up Refugee. In 2015, Spirit World released Creature Feature and Buried Cain, which Paul helped produce.
Lance bills himself as The Traveling Nerd, and is part owner and writes for the popular geek site God Hates Geeks.
For those with aspirations in the motion picture industry, this is probably the show you need to listen to. Lance gives us a very clear snapshot of what the rapidly evolving entertainment industry is like from a producer’s perspective.
