She died at her home in Pacific Palisades, the cause being breast cancer that had metastasized to her liver, according to an announcement made by her nephew, Christopher Carson.
Craig starred as Batgirl/Barbara Gordon in the third and final season of Batman. She also starred in the 1966 cult classic Mars Needs Women, and used her background as a ballet dancer opposite James Coburn in the 1967 spy spoof In Like Flint.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth, her nephews Todd and Christopher Carson, and her sister Meridel. She was 78.
