The Space Command movie is a major topic of discussion at science fiction conventions all across the country. This Saturday at 9PM Pacific, tune in to hear the producer and composer for Space Command, Dr. David Raiklen. Join your hosts Gene Turnbow and Susan Fox as we talk about the art and science of being a cinematic composer. We’ll also hear samples of his work in science fiction and fantasy from various points in his career.
David Raiklen compositions have been performed at the Hollywood Bowl and the first Disney Hall. David is host of a successful radio program, Classical Fan Club, where guests have included Joshua Bell and John Williams.
In addition to Space Command, recent projects include a documentary on the soviet space program, The Secret Life of Gagarin, featuring Elliott Gould, as well as scoring the feature debut of teen director Anne-Sophie Dutoit for her film Faded Memories.
